Waddesdon — Extraordinary, every day
Waddesdon Manor is an experience unlike any other: a French chateau in the heart of the English countryside, home to the incredible Rothschild Collection, and a flagship property of the National Trust.
OPX’s challenge was to create a brand to embody all that Waddesdon has to offer: art, sculpture, architecture, food, wine, entertainment; and to bring the brand up-to-date while continuing to appeal to traditional National Trust audiences.
Workshops helped to distil the essence of the brand and position Waddesdon amongst its competitors and contemporaries, and informed the development of a brand identity that captures the beauty, indulgence, and sense of wonder that exists at Waddesdon.
Materials have a luxury feel, making Waddesdon’s treasures the heroes of their communications. The treatment of imagery is modern and colours are fresh. Contrasted with the opulence of the surroundings, the effect is unexpected: extraordinary, every day.
