
VT Group — Identity refresh and guidelines
VT Group is a leading technical support services company, with roles as diverse as keeping the Metropolitan Police fleet on the road, to ensuring that the BBC World Service are able to keep broadcasting. This diverse portfolio of businesses demands an identity which is flexible enough to talk to very different audiences, whilst delivering a single brand which unites the company through a strong visual approach.
We achieved this by structuring our approach according to a simple 'ripple' model which illustrates how core materials such as signage and stationery use fewer VT elements, with more flex applied as you move away from the centre where materials respond differently to specific audiences or capabilities. At the centre of the ripple underpinning all activity is a refreshed vision, mission and values.
The final printed guidelines are wiro bound, so that we could bring together different materials – papers, card, vinyl samples – and formats within one document. They function as both instructional and inspirational, combining technical and instructional pages with fold outs that interpret the identity more freely as photographs and graphics.
