AECOM — e-magazine

We have worked with AECOM – a 45,000 strong firm of architects, engineers and construction managers – for over ten years. Recently, we have tackled one of our biggest challenges – creating a global digital magazine, AECOM ONE.

The brief was to develop something that would showcase innovation and thought-leadership across their market sectors. That meant a magazine that went beyond standard text and image features, to include a dynamic mix of video, audio and interactive content.

AECOM were keen to exploit the technology offered by iPads, iPhones and other hand-held devices, but also wanted to give users on a desktop PC an equally rich experience. Extensive technical exploration within OPX enabled us to deliver a truly cross-platform solution.

ONE first launched in December 2010 and represented a real leap forward in corporate communications thinking for AECOM. The second issue (June 2011), built on the success of the first, with enhanced interfaces and added features. The third issue (January 2012) continues to expand the scope of the publication. It features an interactive map of London showcasing over 50 AECOM projects in the capital, and an animated timeline for their huge scale 2nd Avenue Subway scheme in New York.
