Sensing made simple

Enterprise Lab is an Imperial College initiative to support rising entrepreneurs and innovators from within their student community. When we saw new start-up company Opensense pitch their smart sticker sensor idea to the Enterprise Lab – we immediately knew we wanted to work with them to create an ownable name and brand identity. And so BlakBear was born...

Natural Understanding

A black bear is an exceptional animal that can sense 2,500 times better than a human, so it seemed only a natural idea to call them BlakBear. The technology is housed in a smartphone sticker which measures and simplifies chemical sensing, enabling anyone to unearth valuable data on the environment.

Stuck on you

Since the launch of their brand in October, BlakBear have won several competitions and have secured funding grants – which will allow them to bring their product to market and ultimately have a positive effect on our environment.

"I love the identity OPX have created for us, and how they have adapted to our evolving desires. I look forward to working together closely as our company advances."
